If so does it means tat we r materialistic? I think it only means that you are materialistic when you go for ANY manthat can provide to your materialistic needs. No doubt a career definitely is part of the 'package' in a man, however if you consider him successful by the the quality of work he is doing and not by the amount he is drawing than i find that it is not what we see as materialistic.

Eg, between a CEO who earns $10K a month and a finance consultant who earns 20K a month, i find the CEO's quality of work makes him more attractive than the finance sucker. I like to think tat successful men have a confidence...an air that lures women.

Maybe his success at work gives him this confidence that allows him to strut ard like a proud peacock... Then again I am an idealist who likes to think the best of everyone in a perfect world... do u think I m wrong? materialistic or not.... guess in everyone of us there is a bit of materialistic streak..... wat say u girlfriends? Definitely, i'd like a man who is successful in his career, because being very uncontented myself, i cannot sink any lower, and i need someone who can guide me and inspire me along. Definitely, there's a charm in successful people, be it with men you are seeking or just women out there. It's part of the package for me but i know i am no materialistic girl :) because i am sure i can provide for myself and me needs no condo, flashy cars or unit trusts.. ha

I do agree that Successful men do appeal to me

1) He wont be childish, i think
2) Got all the money to pamper you
3) we need not worry abt financial state
4) this is one obstacle less to the other relationships with other men

But of cos, they wont be interested in me anyway.....

For me, of cos I like someone that inspires me to think further and do not restrain me. He may not be very successful in career but he mustsuccesful as a person. I do not need lots & lots of money but he mustmake enough for standard lifestyle in Singapore. But if he is rich then it's a miracle loh.
